This
seven-storey structure was built in
1920 in only 78 days. It is one of
the ten largest loft buildings ever
erected in Canada. The building has
been carefully retrofitted to provide
the high quality services demanded
by its commercial office occupants
while maintaining its original character.
Tenants enjoy suites with high ceilings
and tremendous natural light that
pours through new, operable, energy
efficient windows (90% of the building's
walls are glass). The heavy timber
columns and beams and perimeter brick
walls have been sand blasted to restore
them to their original appearance.
The Building is fully air conditioned.
Tenants can choose from a variety
of providers of communications and
high speed internet services within
the building.. The Capitol Building
now houses publishing, management
consulting, advertising, marketing
and film production companies.
